Mobile Devices for Teaching and Learning

eNetLearning Certified Facilitators Provided for Each Course

DATES, TIMES, NUMBER OF SESSIONS:

Course begins on April 1st.

Course approximate length: 5-6 weeks

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  In this blended–learning course, participants will find out how mobile devices can be used as powerful tools for teaching and learning.  When integrated with free, web-based tools and resources, mobile devices offer students and teacher the ability to share ideas through activities such as blogging, podcasting, and data gathering. While there are some concerns about using various mobile devices in schools, it is important that schools prepare students for success in a world overflowing with information. It is also important for students to learn how to use technology ethically and responsibly. This course will highlight meaningful ways these devices can be used as learning tools in and out of the classroom, while also addressing the challenges and resistance that many educators face when trying to integrate mobile devices into learning activities.

This is a six-week course.

You will receive 30 continuing education units or 2 graduate credit hours from Adams State (additional cost paid to ASU).
