The University of Northern Colorado Mathematics and Science Teaching (MAST) Institute is conducting a study to learn from you how middle and high school students are encouraged to pursue careers as a mathematics, science, or STEM teacher in K-12 schools.  As you know, we need more teachers like you to meet the growing need of science, mathematics, and STEM teachers in Colorado.  They would like you to take some time to complete 15 questions and it will take 15-20  minute survey to give me them an understanding of what you know about how students in your school are encouraged and recruited to be science, mathematics, or STEM teachers.   The survey consists of multiple-choice and short-answered responses. They would like this survey completed by Friday, December 6, 2013.

This  information will be used to inform our work at the University of Northern Colorado as they partner with secondary schools to recruit more students into the science, mathematics, and STEM teaching professions, and present these findings in journal articles and conferences.  Your name or any identifying information will not be asked as this survey is completely anonymously.  If you would like to learn the results of this study or have any questions, please feel free to contact, Lori Reinsvoldlori.reinsvold@unco.edu or 970-351-1280.  Follow this link for more information and the survey:  https://unco.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_1UgA6R0xMSh9E45.
