ngcp_theme_logoBreaking Stereotypes: How Role Models and Mentors are Inspiring Girls in STEM

Wednesday, January 28, 2015 – 12:00pm – 1:00pm (MST)

Online-Connection Details will be provided upon confirmation

Through initiatives like the FabFems Project (an international directory of female STEM role models) the National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP) works to bring together individuals and organizations committed to supporting and engaging girls in science, engineering, technology and mathematics (STEM). Role models and mentors, at any age, at any stage of their academic/professional journey, and in any geographical location, have the ability to break stereotypes of all kinds and inspire youth to cultivate and ultimately pursue their passions in STEM fields. In this webinar we’ll explore how role models and mentors are creating impact in national and international settings, as well through in-person and online environments. We’ll explore programs and resources from throughout our NGCP and FabFems network, and share many opportunities to get involved in role modeling and mentoring projects.    For more information and registration, please click here.
