Math Teachers’ Circle 2015 Summer Workshop at Snow Mountain Ranch, Winter Park, CO, June 22-26, 2015

 

The Northern Colorado Math Teachers’ Circle(NoCOMTC) and The Rocky Mountain Math Teachers’ Circle (RMMTC) jointly present a free week-long summer problem-solving workshop for teachers of grades 5-9 (but open to all teachers of mathematics).

Application submission deadline is March 16, 2015. Credit can be earned through different options.

The summer Workshop will be held at the Snow Mountain Ranch, in Winter Park, Colorado. This free problem-solving workshop supports teachers in their development of problem solving skills as well as the incorporation of problem solving into their school’s curriculum. Daytime sessions will be led by UNC and UC, Denver professors and special guest presenters. Sessions will focus on solving math problems, various problem-solving strategies, and during the evenings teachers will meet for more discussion on implementation ideas and networking. The institute is free to all accepted participants, including lodging and all meals.

The institute is funded through generous grants from State Farm Insurance, BBVA Compass Foundation, American Institute of Mathematics, and Mathematical Sciences Research Institute.
