Curate, Collaborate, and Create: A Wealth of ResourcesStarts June 1, 2016 – A three-week, asynchronous, Internet-based course. It will present an overview of DigiEducate and provide instruction on locating Content Experts’ online educational resources and integrating them effectively into instructional activities to support student learning. Designing Blended Learning – Anytime and Anyplace – Starting June 1, 2016 – Designing Blended Learning is an online course for teachers that explains and demonstrates blended learning with interactive activities and locally relevant classroom examples. The course helps teachers transition to creating blended learning experiences. It provides the background rationale, planning strategies, and suggested technology tools. Mobile Devices for Teaching and Learning – Starting June 1, 2016 – In this blended-learning course, participants will learn how mobile device can be used as powerful tools for teaching and learning.  When integrated with free, web-based tools and resources, mobile devices offer students and teacher, the ability to share ideas through activities such as blogs, podcasts, and data gathering.  While there are many legitimate concerns about using such devices in schools, it is important that schools prepare students for success in a world overflowing with information.  It is also important for students to learn how to use technology ethically and responsibly.  The Mobile Devices for Teaching and Learning course will highlight meaningful ways that these mobile devices can be used as learning tools in and out of the classroom, while also addressing the challenges and resistance that many educators face when trying to integrate the various devices into learning activities.  To register for this course, please click here.


Project-Based Approaches – Starting June 1, 2016 – Using specific classroom scenarios, teachers explore the characteristics and benefits of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Throughout the Intel® Teach – Project-Based Approaches course, teachers consider their own teaching practice as they follow a teacher new to project-based learning who discusses strategies with a mentor teacher. Planning and project design modules guide teachers through organizing the curriculum, the classroom, and students for successful 21st century projects. The assessment module demonstrates strategies for assessing students’ 21st century skills throughout an open-ended project. Educational Leadership in the 21st Century – Starting June 1, 2016 –  Educational Leadership in the 21st Century provides an interactive e-learning experience to support the face-to-face Leadership Forum. In this course, participants explore and discuss school leadership in our students’ technological 21st century world. School leaders explore examples of best practices, examine leadership behaviors, and develop strategies to better support their teachers. They follow two administrators who work together to better use technology to support teachers and improve student achievement.
