Details about myON reader and the free fall reading program:

  • Through myON reader, Colorado BOCES students and their families will have access to thousands of enhanced digital books with flexible reading supports made available as needed, including natural audio (to model fluency), word and sentence text highlighting, and an embedded dictionary.
  • In order to promote growth in reading, each student will have a recommended reading list based on their interests and reading ability as measured by the Lexile® Framework for reading.
  • Embedded Lexile® assessments monitor student progress and provide real time data about reading growth at the student, class, building, and district level.
  • Students may use myON reader at school, at home, and where they can access a computer or mobile device including at the public library, at the boys and girls club, and in other community centers. Both online and offline reading is available.

The fall reading offering also includes access to resources-like sample phone link messages, flyers to include in the report card mailings and letters to families as well as videos to help students login, and other key materials to assist with implementation. Consultants from myON will also be available to assist.
